We carry out laser treatment of genital warts as part of our comprehensive range of services for the removal of skin growths using a CO₂ laser.
The procedure begins with a consultation, during which the doctor will examine the genital warts, assess their extent and location, and suggest the best course of action. Depending on what we agree, we can then proceed with the treatment straight away, or arrange an appointment at a time that suits you.
During the procedure, the doctor applies a local anaesthetic; once this takes effect, the treatment itself begins. The laser beam precisely vaporises the condyloma tissue without damaging the surrounding mucous membrane. The blood vessels close as the tissue is vaporised, so the risk of bleeding is minimal. Depending on the number and size of the condylomas, the procedure takes between 15 and 30 minutes.
Immediately after the treatment, the doctor disinfects the area and the patient is discharged with instructions for aftercare. The entire visit usually takes less than an hour.
